Tentative Hold

The Nob Hill Masonic Center (NHMC) will hold space with no obligation, for up to 30 days. If more than 30 days is needed, we request that you stay in weekly contact with your Event Manager. First time renters must complete a licensee application and have it approved before holding dates. If they do not hear from you or cannot reach you, the space will be released.

Challenges

If another group is interested in the space you are holding and willing to sign a contract, we will give you 48 hours to sign a contract and send in a cashier's check for 50% of the rental rate or we will release the space to the other group.

If you would like to challenge a tentative hold, you must be willing to sign a contract and send a cashier's check for 50% of the rent on the space. A challenge check is non-refundable in the event of a date cancellation. The challenge check will be applied to the invoice if the event does occur.

Ticketed Events

For events in which tickets are sold to the public NHMC requires that tickets be sold through the NHMC Box Office ticketing system unless otherwise approved by NHMC.

A restoration fee of $3.00 will be included in the face value of each ticket sold.  Additional charges will be incurred for box office services, ticket takers and credit card charges.

We require 20 "house complimentary tickets" in specific locations for all events. 

Insurance

All events must provide a Certificate of Insurance of $1,000,000 public liability and property damage, with $2,000,000 aggregate naming Nob Hill Masonic, Inc. dba Nob Hill Masonic Center and California Masonic Memorial Temple as additionally insured.

Cancellation

If you must cancel your event after a contract is signed and deposit received, please note the following conditions*:

• Event canceled: 120 days or more prior = 100% refund
• 90-120 days prior = 50% refund
• 60-90 days prior = 25% refund
• Less than 60 days prior = No refund

*These conditions do not apply to challenged dates.
